James Meiklejohn studied Illustration at Brighton University and Portrait and Life painting at Heatherley School of Fine Art.

His paintings have been exhibited in the BP Award at the National Portrait Gallery, the Royal Society of Portrait Painters (3 times) and he has recently been exhibiting his work at the Hollywood Road Gallery, Chelsea and on their stands at the Affordable Art Fairs, London and Bristol.

James has recently sold one of his paintings to The Marquess of Bath for inclusion in the Wessex Collection.
